Getting More Reviews

It’s no secret that the more great reviews you get the better your reputation can get but the question is how do you get more great reviews? We’ll break it down for you here.

Open and Transparent

One of the first things you must do with your website is to be open and transparent with who you are and what you do. That means that you should make your contact info very easy to find. Like having it on the top portion of your site but having contact information is only half the job. You need to answer the emails and the phone calls and do it fast otherwise having easy to reach contact details will just not work out in your best interest.

Your About page should have your company photos. You want to show your customers and potential customers who you are. Get behind your website and show who you are and what you do. Be very clear with the message that you’re sending. Hiding these details and being secretive will only push that potential customer to your competitor and that means reduced revenue and I know you like revenue!

Staying in Contact

When customers and potential customers engage with you about your product or service they will want almost immediate responses. That’s because all internet users these days want instant gratification and not giving that will send them to your competitors again and again taking your revenue.

When a customer contacts you, reply immediately. If they call, answer the phone. If they live chat with you, be online and be there and know what you’re talking about. It’s your company so know your stuff or again, straight to the competition.

Getting More Reviews

Along with the above items for being open and transparent and staying in contact, there are some other things you can do to get more reviews. One of which is to reach out to your customers who you’ve already done business with. Ask them to post a review about your product or service. Don’t wait 2 or 3 months to engage with them about a review, do so within a couple weeks of them buying your product or service.

When you chat with someone live on your website about your product or service, after you’ve chatted with them, ask them for a review.

Go through your 1, 2 and 3 star reviews and reach out to those customers and try to make it right. We all know that you can’t please everyone all the time but it doesn’t mean you give up on them. Reach out to them and try to make it right in the hopes that you will regain this customer, get them to leave a more positive review and at the very least, recommend your product or service to someone else. There’s nothing wrong with being nice. You’re human, it’s in your nature. Let that spill out to your customers and potential customers.
